The Chestnuts Park Surgery hosted a successful Health & Wellness Open Day for all members of the public today, Wednesday 1st June 2016.
The event was well attended considering the wet weather, mixed with members of the general public, registered patients, PPG members, Anthony Marks (Senior Primary Care Commissioning Manager at NHS England), Kate Thomson (Primary Care Communications & Engagement Manager at Haringey CCG) and of course a variety of local services and voluntary sector organisations.
Kate Thomson of Haringey CCG commented about the event, “Great atmosphere at the Chestnuts Park Surgery open day, informative healthcare stalls and lots of patient interest.”
Introductions to new team members at The Chestnuts Park Surgery were made to the public, including Senior Manager Pal Bhambra. The event helped to promote the role and benefits of The Chestnuts Park Surgery, as well as raising awareness about a variety of local health and well-being service providers accessible for patients and residents of Haringey.
Local services included Tottenham Hotspurs Foundation promoting their Expert Patient Programme and their work with Whittington Health on Self-management, One You Haringey who helped many people with smoking cessation, healthy eating and well-being advice on the day, Tottenham Active, Action for Kids, Skills & Training Network, Bubic, the Community Dental Service, HeLP Diabetes who were present and signing people up to their excellent diabetes management service, Triangle Children, Young People and Community Centre, our local Children’s Centre who signed up over 20 visitors for a range of services for children under five, Acorn Children and Young People’s Service and the Bridge Renewal Trust.
AT Medics were delighted to host this event, and extended special thanks to all of the services who attended and who reached out to patients, the surgery and other service providers.
